Frisco Creek Redwing
History: I first saw a picture of Wendy
as a foal on an email list and thought she was a beautiful Morgan
filly. I was amazed when Ellen Foster leased her to us. She
carries some rare Jubilee King lines that match our program well. Disposition - Wendy is the friendliest
mare on the entire farm. Trying to work on fence in her pasture is
nearly impossible since she follows us around trying to help. Although she hasn't been riden extensively, she is already a steady,
unflappable mount on the trail. I needed another horse for a
trail ride and pulled her out of the pasture last year. She hadn't
been ridden for six months but her behavior was calm and
businesslike. Soundness - Wendy hasn't had a lame day
since she arrived here. She hasn't had any problems with her feet at
all. I suspect that she would need shoes if she were ridden on a lot
of rock, but so far she hasn't needed them. Versatility - She has a good mind and this mare is capable of many different avenues. She had a beautiful colt this year that I believe is even better than herself. She will go back to being a saddle horse until we get our numbers down, but we look forward to seeing future progeny from her. | ||||||||||
